One thing you probably didn't know about Ben
...one of his pearls:
“I’d be envious of myself if I wasn’t me”

It was just like we knew each other for years. Talking about tough stuff seemed easier, and all the plans seemed possible and real. It is rare to find a person with whom you can communicate without saying a word, and that is what happened last time I saw Ben :)
Impulsiveness might be a bad thing, but living for now certainly isn’t. And by doing that last Saturday, I met a really adorable person. We had a great time together and everytime I think about Ben, I have a smile on my face.
I am also looking forward to see him again soon.
: )
We met yesterday in Camden, the night was special, the venue was great, the music was good, the dancing was sometimes funny but always lovely. We both enjoyed ourselves, mucked about, laughed and got to know each other.
Got home at the break of dawn, the moon was still up, London quitely sleeping, the birds were singing.
Sampagirl is a free spirit, I look foward to seeing her again soon.
I’ve spent the evening drinking absinthe, please ignore anything I write, I’m not myself :)
Restarted work again yesterday after an eventful two weeks off.
Disoriented
Same job but:
New Boss.
New Desk.
New view.
Less space.
New canteen.
New building.
New Phone number.
No bin under my desk.
No shelf for my books.
New people to sit next to.
No drinking water near by.
And thousands of unread emails.
What am I doing here, I’ve forgotten?
It reminded me of childhood; starting a new school year after the long summer holidays, I’d forgotten how scary it can be. Today was better than yesterday, by the end of the week I should be settled again.
When is he coming to Europe next? never seen him live, sounds like he puts on a great show.

Julpickup is gorgeous. She’s a special person, thoughtful, caring and creative, I’m proud she’s my friend. She’s eloquent and intelligent too.
I met Emiliana at the Tate Britain, just before her concert. Told her how much I admired her music, she thanked me and gave me a nice smile. The show was great, I remember her starting to sing a “Fisherman’s Woman” but forgetting the words 1 minute into the song. She kept her cool, laughed it off and said “Oops, sorry, it’s a bit like a fucked up Eurovision”
Have you been to the places and done the things you set out to do? If not, why not, what stopped you? I hope you’ve kept your sense of adventure.
